About the Internship Programme
The Sarah Baartman District Municipality Graduate Internship Programme forms part of the municipality’s strategy to strengthen engineering capacity while providing unemployed graduates with practical workplace experience.
Interns will work alongside experienced professionals involved in municipal infrastructure planning, construction and service delivery.
The programme allows graduates to apply the knowledge gained during their studies in a real working environment while developing professional skills that improve future employment opportunities.
Although the internship provides valuable work experience, it does not guarantee permanent employment after completion.
Who Can Apply?
Applications are only open to unemployed graduates who reside within one of the following municipalities:
- Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality
- Blue Crane Route Local Municipality
- Kouga Local Municipality
- Koukamma Local Municipality
- Makana Local Municipality
- Ndlambe Local Municipality
- Sundays River Valley Local Municipality
Applicants living outside these municipalities may not be considered.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
To qualify, applicants must have completed either:
- BTech in Civil Engineering, or
- Degree in Civil Engineering
Certified copies of qualifications must accompany the application.
